Canada's top court finds vigilante justice, bad legal advice can be factors for lighter sentences

Refusing to provide a breath sample after a fatal crash is just as grave a crime as impaired driving causing death, the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled. But bad legal advice and vigilante justice can be considered factors for a more lenient sentence, according to the high court.
