Algeria has been accused of human rights abuses after expelling thousands of migrants into the Sahara desert. There have been reports of miscarriages, starvation and dehydration resulting in loss of life. Italy's interior minister says a reception centre should be set up in Libya to reduce the number of people journeying from Africa into Europe.
