A traditional Chinese dumpling of glutinous rice stuffed with a savoury or sweet filling, wrapped in large flat leaves, and cooked by steaming or boiling. Duanwujie (端午節 (Duānwǔjié)) or the Dragon Boat Festival falls on this day in 2018, the fifth day of the fifth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. It is traditional to enjoy zongzi on this day.
