October 5, 2018. Queensland deputy opposition leader Tim Mander, in Brisbane, responds to reports that key participants in the Queensland racing industry are planning two days of strike action. The action has been brought on by industry fury at the new Point of Consumption tax distribution, announced on Monday. "The industry accepts that a point of consumption tax is inevitable but all they're asking is a fair share of the pie," he says. He calls for government investment into racing to keep the industry competitive with other states. (AAP Video/Stuart Layt)
