Trade with the United Kingdom accounts for seven percent of all goods passing through the port of Antwerp. It might not be much in percentage terms, but for Europe's second busiest port, it's enough to make the uncertainty over Brexit keenly felt. A task force was set up in 2016, bringing together representatives of the port, customs and the food security agency. But it's hard to prepare for the divorce with the UK when so many different scenarios are still under discussion: will it be a "soft Brexit" where little changes trade-wise, or a cliff-edge "no deal" Brexit – or something in between?
