[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : What do you do when you love someone but don’t know if you can be with them?

Please if you’re here to judge don’t respond. I’ve been in a three year relationship all of college basically. My boyfriend and I love each other. He has done things to me that are indescribable however. He’s never cheated on me but he sent messages to girls, sent nudes on snap; so it would of been an emotional cheat this was one time freshman year. This year again, in my eyes he emotionally cheated basically with my best friend. His best friend was dating her and “wanted to find out if she was flirting with my boyfriend” since my boyfriend kept telling him she was a bad person to be with. when they saw what she would do when he messaged her (they were together) he took it to another level when he was alone and kept messaging her to a point where photos were sent. I am so hurt and as much as I love him I don’t know if I can handle this. I also have done things back to him when he was doing these things. I recently told him and now he’s telling me I’m wrong For waiting 3 years to tell him. I seriously love him but have no idea what to do here. He’s been trying so hard to make it up but is this too damaged to save?
