All our shame and guilt was upon his head! Forgiveness came through the shedding of blood of the one who was truly innocent, Christ. And if you put your faith and trust in him alone, you will be forgiven. Animals don't feel guilt and shame the way humans do. In Adam, we all die. The first man, in whom we all share a lineage, sinfully rebelled against the good will of God, and in so doing all of creation was brought under the bondage of sin and death. But if you repent and trust Christ, you will be forgiven.
