US President Donald Trump says plans for a steel barrier along the Mexican border has been discussed in a meeting with Democrats. The President recently tweeted about the move away from a concrete wall, saying steel would be 'stronger and less obtrusive' and 'made in the USA'. The US government has been in partial shutdown for more than two weeks following a stalemate between the President and Democrats on funding for the border wall.
