From what I've read online, brown discharge can be caused by a number of things: beginning/end of a period, birth control, infection, and even early pregnancy. I've been off my period for about a week, but my discharge is still brown like my period was just ending. Having brown discharge a few days after my period is typical for me; however, it's never been this long. I thought maybe it was my birth control, but I've been on the same birth control for 6 months and haven't experienced anything like it. I thought maybe I could have an infection, but I have no other symptoms of BV or any other infection. I noticed though that when I wipe, my discharge is the same as its always been, but when it dries in my underwear it is brown. I had sex when my period just ended unprotected sex 3 days after my period, but I took Plan B the same day. Should I call my doctor or just let it be?
