A report has found that young and minority-owned small businesses would be hit hardest by proposals put forward by presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. On Friday, the Vermont senator proposed policies which, if implemented, would increase the tax burden on many small business owners. The detailed report from the Tax Foundation found that the plan would increase taxes on many small businesses by 20 percent. The economic analysis suggests that some taxpayers would pay upwards of 20 percent in increased taxes, while others would pay a larger share.
