‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Opened Up a Whole Lot of Possibilities for Phase 4

After the record-breaking success of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home did not disappoint.

I had pretty low expectations of the movie since I’m not really a fan of Spidey’s movies (except for the Tobey Maguire trilogy). I honestly didn’t like any of the Spidey movies after that. I also thought that no movie could top Endgame or even follow up on it decently… but Marvel proved me wrong.

Spider-Man Far From Home is the perfect movie to tie loose ends in Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 and open up a whole lot of possibilities for Phase 4. According to news and reliable sources, the latest installment of Spider-Man is the last movie in Phase 3, and it gives a satisfying and emotional tribute to the Avengers.

Storyline-wise, it seems pretty simple, but it also digs deeper into the mental and emotional battles that Spider-Man is facing. Tom Holland’s acting chops are proven to be effective here as he delivers his vital scenes well.

What made the movie awesome, however, is the way they made a complicated concept a simple one. The whole projector illusion arc could have been hard to follow, but the way they presented it simplified the viewing experience. I can’t stop gushing about the astonishing visuals that they presented during the entire movie.

Quentin Beck was also introduced in Far From Home. Jake Gyllenhaal’s portrayal of Mysterio is both mesmerizing and convincing. At the first part of the movie, I actually saw him as a member of the new Avengers. He can be charming as needed and absolutely annoying during pivotal scenes.

Overall, Spider-Man Far From Home is definitely the movie we needed after the rollercoaster ride that Avengers Endgame put us through. With perfect comedic timing and heartwarming scenes, you can tell how much moviegoers enjoyed the film through their various reactions throughout the movie. Spidey’s costumes changes were pretty amazing, too; and there are some scenes that will definitely make the audience emotional in terms of the Peter Parker – Tony Stark relationship.

I can safely say that this Spider-Man installment transitioned the 2 phases smoothly, so be sure not to miss this one. Also, I hope to see Spidey’s gang in an Avengers movie with the other superheroes. I can just imagine their reactions when they see the other Marvel heroes. It would provide such great comic relief!

To be honest, I held my pee for a solid 1.5 hours because that’s how intense the movie was. The end credits will also leave you hanging big time, so be sure to stick around for a surprising turn of events in the credits.

Shoutout to PMCM Events Management for another successful block screening at Resorts World Manila! You guys are always the best!

Which Marvel movies are you looking forward to now that we welcome Phase 4?
