The government has announced an extra $400 million in freight rail duplication for Port Botany, which the Coalition claims will ease traffic congestion around Sydney airport. Urban Infrastructure Minister Paul Fletcher has told Sky News the funding will help 'get freight off the road' and as a by-product will reduce traffic for commuters in the area. The spending will be officially unveiled when Treasurer Scott Morrison hands down the budget on Tuesday.
