LOOK: The National Planetarium is now open again!

In November last year, the National Planetarium was closed for repairs after reopening in mid-2017. We have great news: it has been reopened again and you can check out the galactic awesomeness on display!

The news was announced by the National Museum of the Philippines Facebook page. According to them, “Please join us on our journey to the wonders of our Ethno astronomy, learning how planets and stars have guided us in sea navigation, agriculture, fishing and the right timing of celebrating life.”

As with all the national museums in the country, entrance to the National Planetarium is free but they charge for planetarium shows (Php 50.00 for regular viewers, Php 30.00 for students with ID, and Php 40.00 for senior citizens and PWD). They have three shows available:  “A Planet for Goldilocks,” “Journey to a Billion Suns” and “Hayabusa: Back to the Earth.”

The planetarium is home to the full-dome Planetarium projector, which is reportedly the first in Asia. It is open 10 am to 5 pm (last admission 4:30 pm), Tuesday to Sunday. It is located at Dr. Jose P. Rizal Park, Padre Burgos Ave, Ermita, Manila, Metro Manila.
